Bengal Club’s food and drinks are legendary. We serve the finest Continental cuisine in town, the recipes of which have been handed down to generations of chefs. Recollections of Calcutta during the Raj are replete with tales about the excellent food served at the Club, and it is a matter of great pride to us that the tradition continues.
Not just the food but also the ambience matters. The Victorian elegance of the Main Dining Room along with the attentive and efficient service of our staff makes every meal a memorable affair. Next to the Dining Room you will find the cosy, glass-lined Terrace Room.
Our Chinese food, served at The Oriental Room, is also the talk of town. There is almost an infinite number of establishments in the city that serve Chinese cuisine, but very few, if any, come close to the unique flavour and taste of our entrees.
Pastries, savouries, breads are among the delights in our fine Bakery. Our seasonal offerings, particularly during Christmas and New Year, add quite a bit to the festive cheer. You can pick up some delicious ice creams at the adjacent parlour too!
The Nagraj Bar is named after our mascot, the fabled Cobra that is reported to have resided in the building in its previous avatar. You will find a choice selection of wines and spirits including the club’s famed cocktails waiting for you in this very classy bar redolent of old-world charm.
In contrast, The Huddle has much more contemporary décor for our young members to relax in an informal atmosphere. The Large TV is frequently used for the live telecast of sporting events.
